App version 2.2.0 is our biggest update since the rebuild. New screens, new tools, and a lot of changes driven directly by feedback from homeowners and installers using the app every day.
We heard you. The savings question. The navigation frustrations. The need for better charger controls. This release addresses all of it.
Savings tracker
The most requested feature since launch: a clear answer to "How much am I saving?" The new savings tracker lives on the home screen. Tap it to expand a full breakdown by home savings, export earnings, and EV charging. Switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views.
This isn't an estimate. The calculation uses your actual spot prices, VAT settings, and 15-minute resolution metering data. For installers, this is the feature that answers the customer's first question after setup.
Spot prices
A dedicated spot prices screen shows today's and tomorrow's electricity prices in a clear graph with a grouped price list underneath. Today's average sits at the top. Consecutive hours at similar price levels are grouped so you can quickly identify the cheap and expensive windows.
Combined with your metering data and solar forecasts, this is how the Optimiser calculates your savings and decides when to charge your battery or EV.
V2X charger controls
The vehicle screen has been completely reworked with two distinct modes:
- Smart Mode lets the Optimiser handle charge and discharge timing based on spot prices and your schedule.
- Manual Mode gives you a power slider with haptic feedback and live convergence feedback showing target vs. actual power output.
Swipeable charger cards let you switch between multiple chargers. Per-day charging schedules replace the old single-schedule model. If the car isn't plugged in, controls disable gracefully instead of showing options that don't apply.
For installers managing multi-charger setups, the per-site scoping means each site only shows its own chargers.
Optimiser improvements
The Optimiser setup screen is now organised into three clear sections: Grid Connection, Pricing, and Devices. Labels have been rewritten to actually make sense ("Additional Costs" instead of the old "Import fixed addition fee"). The schedule detail view now overlays a price chart on charge and discharge periods, so you can see exactly why the Optimiser is making each decision.
Peak shaving gets its own dedicated screen with per-day power limit schedules. For installers commissioning systems, the cleaner setup flow means less time explaining settings to customers and fewer support calls about confusing labels.
Solar PV forecasting
The Optimiser now uses solar production forecasts to plan smarter. Instead of reacting to what your panels are doing right now, it looks ahead and factors expected solar output into its charge and discharge decisions. More solar expected tomorrow morning? It won't waste cheap overnight electricity filling your battery if the sun will do it for free.
Reworked navigation
The old side menu is gone. The "More" tab is now a full card-based screen with dedicated sub-screens for Account, Theme, Language, Site Settings, Energy Devices, and Site Manager. Everything is reachable in two taps.
A new site switcher lets you jump between sites with search and org-level grouping. For installers managing multiple customer installations, this makes switching between sites fast.
Groundwork for AC charger support
Under the hood, we've unified the device onboarding flow. One screen now handles both gateway-connected and cloud-connected devices, switching dynamically based on device type. This includes a new OCPP onboarding flow with QR code scanning for Station IDs, automatic device discovery, and fuse size configuration.
This is the foundation for AC charger support. Brands like Easee, Zaptec, and Charge Amps connect via OCPP through the cloud rather than through the Zap gateway. The integration path is built. Device support is coming.
